Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor in southwestern Montenegro, is a winding bay on the Adriatic Sea. The bay, sometimes called Europe's southernmost fjord, is in fact a submerged river canyon of the disintegrated Bokelj River which used to run from the high mountain plateaus of Mount Orjen. It is an important tourist attraction in Montenegro.

Kotor

The old town of Kotor is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in this area of the Mediterranean. It has succeeded in preserving its original form, typical of towns from the 12th-14th centuries. The narrow streets and squares, along with the numerous medieval monuments, contributed to Kotor being placed on UNESCO’s “The world natural and cultural inheritance” list.
