About the Arcadia

Striking in design, and completed in April 2005, child-free Arcadia is the newest addition to the fleet. Constructed in Fincantieri shipyard, just outside Venice, she was built in a period of just twenty months.

Offering a contemporary cruise experience, her modern flair and signature features set her apart. Choice is her watchword and everywhere you go you will find evidence of her unique style and innovation.

You can experience all three styles of dining on board this superliner during one holiday, Arcadia makes the very most of P&O Cruises Dining Choice. Stylish to the core, her rooms are adorned with an amazing art collection created by contemporary British artists. Fabulous hues and sumptuous fabrics combine to great effect and her tranquil, modern and spacious bars and lounges are havens for socialising and relaxing. Sociable, spontaneous and flexible, Arcadia enables you to make the most of every moment away.

Activities

Sail on Arcadia and when you are not exploring ashore, a whole host of discoveries await you on board. Before you arrive at your ports of call, you can attend a port presentation to find out all the must-see sights and get a feel for the history and culture of each location. There are also activities such as art auctions, Arcadia’s art tour, dance lessons and galley tours, peppering your days with new acquaintances and experiences.

Take part in Arcadia’s New Horizons activities programme and you can develop new skills, make new friends and have fun as you go. With a variety of entertaining and enriching workshops, you can learn about a variety of subjects from leading specialists. From Aromatherapy, Reiki, Tai Chi and skills to boost your confidence to garden design and wine tasting, there’s something to spark everyone’s imagination.

Entertainment

Holiday on Arcadia and your evenings will sparkle with endless possibilities. The three-tier Palladium Theatre stages spectacular West-End style shows. Singers and comedians perform for you in The Globe. Live bands and karaoke create a great atmosphere in The Rising Sun. You can dance into the small hours in Electra, Arcadia’s vibrant nightclub. Add to this quiz nights, talent nights, party nights on deck and much more and you’ll find that Arcadia resounds to the sounds of laughter, music and applause.

Dining

As you would expect of such an impressive superliner, Arcadia offers an array of different dining options. By day, there are numerous choices of venue and dishes to whet your appetite. You might start the day with a continental breakfast on your own private balcony. Opt for some fresh fruit, cereal and a pastry in The Belvedere food court. Or tuck into a cooked ‘P&O Cruises breakfast’ in The Meridian Restaurant.

Similarly lunch could be long and leisurely, or just involve a quick bite, poolside. A varied selection of foods and dishes invite you to take your pick in The Belvedere around the clock. The Neptune Grill offers a range of light snacks such as burgers, hotdogs, jacket potatoes and salads. And Caffè Vivo has pastries and muffins to complement your speciality coffee. And if you’re looking for something that little bit more formal, the Meridian Restaurant is the place to go for waiter service and a three-course luncheon menu.
