Holland America Line leads the cruise industry premium niche by offering virtually unlimited cruise and CruiseTour options that span the globe and satisfy every traveler's appetite for exploration. Over the course of the company's rich history as first a shipping and passenger line and subsequently a cruise line, Holland America Line's fleet has carried nearly 10 million passengers, either to new lives in the New World or to exotic locales for vacations of a lifetime. Holland America Line marked its 130th anniversary in 2003.
ms Amsterdam
At the heart of the ms Amsterdam is the Planeto Astrolabium, a specially commissioned signature sculpture suspended and soaring in a three-story atrium. The stunning Astrolabe tracks constellations, the planets, world time and ship time. Dutch heritage and tradition aboard the ms Amsterdam is clearly displayed in original Art Deco pieces that once graced the Nieuw Amsterdam of 1938. For a contemporary touch, works of the noted maritime artist Stephen Card adorn public spaces. With the capacity to carry 1,380 guests, the ms Amsterdam features 172 staterooms with verandahs. The ms Amsterdam completed all Signature of Excellence enhancements to her public rooms and staterooms in Spring 2005.
ms Eurodam
The Eurodam will further the evolution of Holland America Line's sophisticated mid-sized ships. With 11 passenger decks, new innovations include a topside 144-seat Pan-Asian restaurant and 50-seat lounge surrounded by panoramic views overlooking the ocean expanse and the Lido pool. Other additions are an Explorer's Lounge Bar, a new specialty restaurant adjacent to the Lido offering the finest in Italian food, elegant luxury jewelry boutiques, new atrium bar area, enhanced and reconfigured show lounge with theater-style seating, and a new photographic and imaging center.
ms Maasdam
The ms Maasdam is the fifth ship in Holland America Line's more than 130-year history to bear the name. Featuring an interior motif that pays homage to the historical Dutch East and West India companies of the 17th through 19th centuries, the centerpiece of this elegant ship features Luciano Vistosi's "Totem," a monumental sculpture using nearly 2,000 glimmering pieces of glass, prominently displayed in a soaring three-story atrium. She exudes a warm, elegant feel throughout by combining rich, polished woods and more than $2 million antiques and art collection. The ms Maasdam completed all Signature of Excellence enhancements to her public rooms and staterooms in Spring 2006.
ms Noordam
The ms Noordam, which is the first ship to be launched with the full complement of Signature of Excellence enhancements, exemplifies the classic style of the golden age of ocean travel with contemporary amenities and modern enhancements. In addition to excellent service and an incredible range of elegant dining choices, the ms Noordam has over 50 scheduled shipboard activities allowing you to do as much or as little as you please.
ms Oosterdam
The ms Oosterdam is a creative blend of charm and modern amenities, affording all guests the comfort and convenience they expect on board a Holland America ship. Officially christened in 2003 by Her Dutch Royal Highness, Princess Margriet of The Netherlands, the ms Oosterdam is the second in our series of Vista-class ships. As on all Vista-class ships, Holland America Line embraces the latest industry and environmental technologies such as her use of a full-scale diesel-electric power plant for optimal energy efficiency and an Azipod propulsion system that maximizes maneuverability.
ms Prinsendam
The ms Prinsendam boasts 22 spacious public rooms, features commanding ocean views in 93 percent of her staterooms and private verandahs in 67 percent of her staterooms. Mid-ship guests will find a special signature sculpture suspended in a soaring three-story atrium that features etched fish, turtles and dolphins climbing a stunning cylinder of Bolle glass, lit with state-of-the-art fiber optics. With fine details such as highly polished woodwork, soft colors, marble flooring, and a world-class spa and fitness center, the "Elegant Explorer" is truly a classic ship worthy of her name.
ms Rotterdam
As the sixth ship to bear the name, the flagship ms Rotterdam is the standard-bearer for our Atlantic fleet of five-star cruise ships. The first Rotterdam set sail in 1872, beginning a Holland America tradition and reputation that continued through the Rotterdam V, one of the most beloved ships of all time. In the grand tradition of the Rotterdam ships, fascinating Holland America memorabilia can be found throughout the ship, such as specially commissioned works of art ranging from oil paintings, to sculptures, to textile designs and much more. The ms Rotterdam completed all Signature of Excellence enhancements to her public rooms and staterooms in Spring 2005.
ms Ryndam
With a Dutch worldwide exploration theme, the decor of the ms Ryndam features art and artifacts from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Guests aboard this spacious ship encounter elegance at every turn - from a string quartet serenade in the splendid Rotterdam Dining Room to the two-deck Vermeer Show Lounge. At the heart of the ms Ryndam a three-story atrium features a monumental fountain created by sculptor Gilbert Lebigre in Pietrasanta, Italy. And with a gracious and unobtrusive crew, the superior service that is signature Holland America Line is never far away.
ms Statendam
The ms Statendam is the fifth ship to bear the name in Holland America Line's 133-year history. With more than $2 million worth of art and artifacts, the ms Statendam features a theme of Dutch life and exploration. The Van Gogh Theater is a work of art in itself. Themed to Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh's paintings "The Starry Night" and "Irises," the room features computerized fiber optic lighting as well as a state-of-the-art sound system.
ms Veendam
For luxury on the high seas and stops in fascinating ports of call, the ms Veendam is a ship you don't want to miss. Elegant dining rooms with wide vistas of the seas, a broad sweeping staircase, wide teak decks for strolling and spacious staterooms (149 of which feature private verandahs) all lend the ms Veendam an air of elegance, providing our guests with the best cruise experience.
ms Volendam
The beautiful garden theme of the ms Volendam includes an artful floral motif throughout the ship's spacious public rooms and elegant staterooms (149 of which have private verandahs). "Flowers" can be found in abundance on her public decks and in unexpected places in the forms of floral fabrics and tapestries, as well as huge vases of tropical floral arrangements and chrysanthemums. This beautiful ship accommodates 1,440 guests.
ms Westerdam
The ms Westerdam is the third in Holland America Line's series of Vista-class ships. Defining the future of cruising, the ms Westerdam offers guests more of everything they desire on a cruise ship: more staterooms with private verandahs, more dining choices from formal dinners to casual poolside dining, more exotic destinations, and the very best in cruise activities and cruise entertainment. ms Zaandam
The musically themed ms Zaandam offers its 1,440 guests a unique shipboard atmosphere. Inspired by the world's great music, artifacts and memorabilia from across the pantheon of musical genres decorate the ship, such as guitars signed by the Rolling Stones and other relics of legendary musicians. At the heart of the ms Zaandam, in a soaring three-story atrium, guests revel at a Baroque-style Dutch pipe organ, inspired by the traditional barrel organs still found on the streets of The Netherlands.
ms Zuiderdam
At the heart of the ms Zuiderdam, suspended in a three-story atrium, a Waterford Crystal Seahorse sets the mood for exquisite pieces of art to be seen throughout this elegant ship. On board the ms Zuiderdam, marvelous nooks and crannies contain priceless works of art. Guests will find a recurring Venetian theme throughout the ship; the most dazzling features figures in the time of Carnival in Venice, created by Daniel Ogier. Guests can also expect signature Holland America touches, such as a gracious and unobtrusive staff, gourmet meals, spacious accommodations and the very best in entertainment and activities.
